Sony Ericsson Xperia Play Review

T last, eh? I think we've talked about this phone for years. In fact, it was really years to tell the truth. The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play was hot again talking through the web. Once the rumor started beating gossip, people were posting rumors left and right. Before I knew it, Sony PlayStation and Sony Ericsson have been trying to keep the rumors of a thud, hoping to keep the project secret. But this time, I think it's obvious that something was wrong. Sony is a very large company, and Sony Ericsson and Sony PlayStation, two very different divisions within Sony. And somewhere within these two major divisions of the company, something must be wrong. It seemed I had it all: a strong and solid play maker of the PlayStation brand mobile - Android and its base. Jump past the break in "Play" along and see what this device has to offer.

Hardware

When picking Xperia games for the first time, you will immediately feel its weight. It is definitely heavier on the side of the phone there. But it is a weight that does not really bother me, in view of the handle accounting. Think of it as a weight of solid play, but usually heavy for your smartphone shotaverage equipment. It comes down to be a compromise. Whereas the intention is to
Unlike its cousin, extremely thin Arc Play Xperia Xperia has all the sinuous body. On the front of the unit is 4 inches, 854 x 480 FWVGA. Watch the video takes full advantage of the front of the camera. Sony Ericsson had a really nice not to waste space on the front, leaving just enough for the buttons on the front and top speaker. Speaking of buttons on the front, these guys threw me tiny silver down a bit. But not in terms of sensation. The place where they were setup. Sony Ericsson them from left to right like this: Back, Home, Menu and Search. Of course, Motorola, HTC and Samsung, have them configured differently, too. But anyway, should not be the norm? I think I was a little thrown.

Make your way to the edges of the phone, you are presented with curves that wrap nicely around the unit. One might think that the whole design of the slide-out game, the phone would be difficult to hide, but Ericsson has done a great job making the rinse everything.

Play Behind the Xperia is a 5 megapixel camera and flash (camera test, read the camera's bellows). In the upper right, the power button is hidden, and Clicky is the same feeling in the face in front of the navigation. Another nice touch is that just the power switch and power is one of the - tiny little touch, but still pretty cool.
Keep your smartphone into landscape position, you will find the volume rocker located between the shoulder buttons. It is a strange choice to put up top (right side for normal portrait) when you slid open gamepad. I say this only because you basically put a finger behind the screen to adjust the volume when playing a game. I think it would have been more effective and easier to manage to get it on the bottom (left side of the normal standing.) It's small, but noticeable when playing games.

Under the hood is black Snapdragon 1 GHz, 205 Adreno GPU and 512 MB of RAM above that. Now, many people complain about the processor speed, especially with all the dual-core processors become fairly standard in the market. But let's be clear: there is a dedicated graphics processor strictly graphics. This means that there are remains of 1 GHz for the game or anything unrelated to games. He did a good job, once the game starts, but I noticed that the load times of high end games it takes a long time to load. Well, it makes you wonder if this guy is supposed to be the beginning of last year, right? It just seems strange to put a "play" hardware device that runs a bit sideways, and then ask the developers to support this phone as a viable gaming platform for the future.

Then, go to the game controller - the central unit. Slipping out of the game controller is a great feeling. It 'will not feel lively and snap off. While extended, the hinge holding the top and bottom of each phone is rock solid. Even if I drop it to open again, will more than likely does not fall apart in two. So everyone out there who has had some bad experiences with hinges phone, do not worry.

Somewhere shoulder buttons. "L" and "R" buttons will be familiar to all players that was the PlayStation hardware, or even the Super Nintendo. Both buttons are the inward resting curvature of the fingers. They have some 'sensitive side, but carried on the same clicky feels like a button face. I noticed that spread far apart. My hands do not cramp during long gaming sessions. What are you biggest one hand, people are out there, you should not feel any discomfort either.

On the front of the controller is a D-pad, two trackpads, Start, Select, Menu button and buttons Android iconic face of the PlayStation. D-pad and face buttons everyone was super responsive. If you already have a PSP Go ahead, you'll notice the button placement and feel are almost identical. As with trackpads, they have generally worked well. Inside the trackpad is a tiny point raised to help guide your fingers out of place. When you play games, I found the trackpad to be a little more sensitive to the side. For anyone interested in playing shooter that operates both trackpads, you will find yourself adjusting the sensitivity, once you get a feel for the game it was a concern I had from the beginning. Hopefully, developers will learn how to program games around the best sensitivity trackpads.

Software

In terms of software, the Xperia Play is so simple and clear as it is - and do not complain. Gingerbread strong and straight (Android 2.3.2 to be exact). It's an odd choice as his twin brother in Europe is a custom rocker Ericsson user interface. I think the purists will find this option Android Verizon and Sony Ericsson to be a great advantage of this phone. This was probably mainly through upgrades. Once this guy gets a new version of Android, there will be less to go through the hoop. It's beginning to look like Sony Ericsson has learned its lesson with updates on their devices. In the past, have been slow to update its end in the hands of consumers. AnotherSoftware because I could have chosen the right of gingerbread and no custom user interface to my theory that Sony Ericsson wants the launch of this phone a while ago. Add and test this additional layer could delay the introduction of even more than it already was.
With a 1GHz processor, everyday applications, and jumping from app to app data no problem. Gingerbread is very smooth here. Even after the application of some of the pitchers is Xperia Play, the phone ran without a hiccup. And since we're talking on the phone branded Verizon, we have to mention bloatware on board - but in this case does not stack too. Player is equipped with VZ Navigator, an office suite, Backup Assistant, Verizon Vcast Mobile, and the App Store. It 'was really nice to see Verizon not mess Xperia Play tons of debris, such as City ID, and more. As you all PlayStation gamers out there, including some Sony Ericsson PlayStation branded phone wallpapers to live, too. Undulating movement, moving lines can also be found on PlayStation 3 and PSP. And honestly, there's not much to say about the software.

Battery

Gaming on the road is nice, but when mixed with your mobile phone, the battery tends to go fast enough. When I was not playing games for amounts of time, the Xperia Play does quite well. I found myself about to reach a feeder in the late evening. At that time, is fairly standard for Android smartphones. Do not expect to get two full days of this type. The 1500 mAh battery is a decent. I probably saved the life of the battery when the screen was a bit clearer, though. I often found myself adjusting the screen brightness at higher levels. Images on the screen never really seemed to have the crisp, Look Sharp.
